She has a degree in History and Education coupled with international certifications in Effective Teaching and Learning Strategies for children with Special Needs and Supporting Multiple Abilities through Differentiation.

In addition, she has well over 10 years of experience in the educational industry in Trinidad and Tobago. To cater to the needs of the working professionals, Shalom's Specialist Educational Institute offers Homework assistance through the Happy Learning Homework Club and after-school care and an Individual Reading Assistance programme for struggling readers between the ages of 5 to 10 years.
